This arm protection brocade was unearthed in 1995 from a tomb in Xinjiang Province dating back to the East Han (25–220). It has eight Chinese characters embroidered on it, which read as follows:
五星出東方利中國
(It will be a good time for China when five stars congregate in the east)
Interestingly, the first name of the archaeologist who discovered the “five stars” brocade is East (东方), and his surname is Congregation (齐).
Further, shortly before the digging, at their camping site, Mr East Congregation raised a national flag that was given to them the previous day by the local government.
There are five stars on the Chinese national flag.
So in the early morning of a day in 1995, Mr East Congregation raised a brand new Five Star Chinese national flag, and then in the afternoon, a 2,000-year-old brocade with a message about five stars congregating in the east to bless China was unearthed.
About ten thousand years ago, there were great forests in sub-tropical and warm areas of China, like Yunnan and Sichuan Provinces, where trees were hundreds and even thousands of years old. Then one day a massive natural occurrence, such as an earthquake, mountain torrent, or bushfire caused by lightning strikes, took place and buried an entire forest under the earth, and the trees eventually became ebony, extremely dense wood in black colour.
